These spiderweb sriracha deviled eggs are a fun, spicy twist on a classic appetizer. With a creamy, tangy filling and a gentle heat, they’re perfect for Halloween parties or any time you need a little kitchen magic.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 ½ teaspoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Extra sriracha for the spiderweb design (about ½ teaspoon)

Instructions

  1. Place the 6 large eggs in a single layer in a medium saucepan. Cover them with cold water by about an inch. Bring the water to a full boil over high heat. Once boiling, remove the pan from the heat, cover it with a lid, and let it sit for exactly 12 minutes.
  2. While the eggs are resting, fill a large bowl with ice and cold water. After the 12 minutes are up, use a slotted spoon to transfer the eggs to the ice bath. Let them sit for at least 5 minutes.
  3. Gently tap each egg on a hard surface to crack the shell all over. Start peeling from the wider end, where the air pocket is. Run the egg under cold water as you peel to help remove any stubborn bits of shell. Rinse the peeled eggs to remove any tiny shell fragments.
  4. Using a sharp knife, slice each egg in half lengthwise. Wipe the knife clean between cuts for the neatest results. Gently pop out the yolks into a medium mixing bowl. Arrange the white halves on a serving platter, cut side up.
  5. Add the 3 tablespoons mayonnaise, 1 ½ teaspoons sriracha, 1 teaspoon yellow mustard, ⅛ teaspoon salt, and ⅛ teaspoon black pepper to the bowl with the yolks. Mash everything together with a fork until smooth and creamy. Taste it and adjust the seasoning.
  6. Spoon the yolk mixture into a piping bag or a sturdy zip-top bag. If using a zip-top bag, snip off about ½ inch from one corner. Pipe the filling into each egg white, dividing it evenly among the 12 halves.
  7. Put about ½ teaspoon of extra sriracha into a small zip-top bag and snip off the tiniest corner you can manage. Starting from the center of each filled egg, drizzle a small circle of sriracha. Then drizzle a second, larger circle around it. Repeat until you have 3-4 concentric circles. Working quickly, take a toothpick and drag it from the center outward through the circles. Repeat this 4-6 times around the egg, spacing the lines evenly. Wipe the toothpick clean between eggs for the sharpest lin…
  8. Sprinkle a light dusting of paprika over the eggs for color contrast. Cover the platter loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use older eggs (at least a week old) for easier peeling. The spiderweb design is easiest with a small zip-top bag and a toothpick. For best results, chill the filled eggs for 15 minutes before adding the webs. The flavors improve after a day in the fridge.
