This creamy, tangy ranch dip is made with cottage cheese for a protein-packed twist on a classic. Ready in just 5 minutes, it’s perfect for veggies, chips, sandwiches, and more.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups full-fat cottage cheese (small-curd preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix
  • 23 tablespoons milk (whole milk recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
  • Fresh chives or dill for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Measure 2 cups of cottage cheese into a blender jar. Do not pack it down.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of ranch seasoning evenly over the cottage cheese.
  3. Pour in 2 tablespoons of milk.
  4. Add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice if using.
  5. Blend on high for 45-60 seconds, starting on low and increasing to high, until completely smooth. Scrape down sides halfway through.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning or milk as needed.
  7. Pour into a bowl and let rest at room temperature for 10 minutes to thicken and meld flavors.
  8. Garnish with fresh chives or dill and serve with vegetables, crackers, chips, or as a spread.

Notes

For smoothest texture, let cottage cheese sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before blending. Do not over-blend (max 60 seconds) to avoid thinning. The 10-minute rest is essential for flavor melding and thickening. Dip keeps up to 5 days in the fridge; stir before serving if separated. For a dairy-free version, use silken tofu and dairy-free milk.
