A quick and easy iced coffee topped with a velvety pumpkin spice cold foam, perfect for fall mornings or Halloween celebrations. This homemade treat captures the magic of a witch’s brew without the dry ice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 12 tablespoons maple syrup or simple syrup, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes, as needed
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Brew 1 cup of strong coffee and let it cool to room temperature (or refrigerate for 10 minutes).
  2. In a small bowl or jar, combine 1/4 cup heavy cream, 2 tablespoons milk, 1 tablespoon pumpkin puree, 1 tablespoon maple syrup, 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, and a pinch of salt. Use a milk frother to whip until thick and frothy, about 30-45 seconds.
  3. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Pour in the cooled coffee, 1/2 cup milk, 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir gently.
  4. Gently spoon or pour the cold foam over the back of a spoon onto the iced coffee to keep it floating on top.
  5. Sprinkle a pinch of pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon on top. Serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

Chill the cream before frothing for best results. Do not over-froth; stop when soft peaks form. Use 100% pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling. The cold foam can be made up to 2 days in advance and re-frothed before use.
