This easy candy corn popcorn mix is a quick, addictive sweet-and-salty Halloween snack made with popcorn, candy corn, white chocolate, and peanuts. It comes together in under 15 minutes and is perfect for parties, movie nights, or last-minute treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 cups popped popcorn (plain, unsalted)
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 1 ½ cups white chocolate melting wafers
  • ½ cup salted peanuts
  • ½ cup pretzel sticks, broken into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons Halloween sprinkles (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Pop 8 cups of plain popcorn according to package directions. Spread it out on a baking sheet to cool completely (about 15 minutes). Remove any unpopped kernels.
  2. While the popcorn cools, break the pretzel sticks into 1-inch pieces and measure out the candy corn and peanuts.
  3. Place the white chocolate melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly between each interval, until completely smooth (about 1-2 minutes total). Be careful not to overheat.
  4. Place the cooled popcorn in a large mixing bowl. Pour the melted white chocolate over the popcorn in a steady stream while stirring constantly with a rubber spatula until every kernel is evenly coated.
  5. Gently fold in the candy corn, broken pretzel pieces, and salted peanuts. Stir just until evenly distributed.
  6. Spread the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet in an even layer. Sprinkle the Halloween sprinkles and flaky sea salt over the top while the chocolate is still wet. Let it set at room temperature for about 10 minutes, or until the white chocolate is firm. For faster setting, refrigerate for 5 minutes.
  7. Once set, break the mixture into bite-sized clusters. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.

Notes

Cool popcorn completely before adding white chocolate to prevent sogginess. For a nut-free version, omit peanuts and add extra pretzels or toasted pumpkin seeds. For dairy-free, use dairy-free white chocolate. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. Freezes well for up to 3 months.
