Easy Make-Ahead Mini Bagel Pizzas with Pepperoni Recipe for Kids

Quick and easy mini bagel pizzas topped with pepperoni and melted cheese, perfect for kids’ snacks, parties, or lunchboxes. These can be prepped ahead and baked fresh when needed.

Ingredients

  • Mini bagels (plain or everything-flavored)
  • Pizza sauce (store-bought marinara or tomato sauce)
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese (whole milk or part-skim)
  • Pepperoni slices (standard size, turkey pepperoni optional)
  • Olive oil (optional, for brushing bagels)
  • Dried Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Parmesan cheese (optional, for sprinkling before baking)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the mini bagels in half horizontally and place cut-side up on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Optional: Lightly brush each bagel half with olive oil for a crispier crust.
  4. Spread about 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of pizza sauce evenly on each bagel half.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce, leaving a small border.
  6. Add 3 to 4 pepperoni slices on top of each bagel half.
  7. Optional: Sprinkle a pinch of dried Italian seasoning and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly and bagel edges are golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Do not overload sauce to avoid soggy bagels. Use whole milk mozzarella for best melt. Watch oven closely to prevent burning. For crispier bottoms, place baking sheet on lowest oven rack. Assemble ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours or freeze before baking. Reheat leftovers in oven or toaster oven for best texture.
