These no-bake spider cookies are a fun and easy Halloween treat made with Oreos, cream cheese, and pretzel sticks. Perfect for parties and kid-friendly decorating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 oz) regular Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup pretzel sticks, broken in half
  • 48 candy eyes (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips, melted (optional)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor or a rolling pin and ziplock bag.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then beat until fully combined.
  3. Add the crushed Oreos to the cream cheese mixture and mix on low speed until a thick, fudgy dough forms. If too sticky, add more crushed Oreos; if too dry, add a teaspoon of milk.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes until the dough is firm.
  5. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough and roll into a smooth ball. Repeat to make about 16 balls. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
  6. For each spider, press 4 pretzel stick halves into each side of the dough ball, angling them outward to look like legs. Press gently until secure.
  7. If using melted chocolate, dip the back of each candy eye into the chocolate and press onto the spider body. Otherwise, press eyes gently into the dough. Place two eyes close together on the front.
  8. Refrigerate the baking sheet for at least 15 minutes to set. Serve chilled.

Notes

Work with cold dough for easier shaping. If dough gets too warm, refrigerate for 10 minutes. For best texture, assemble no more than 24 hours ahead. Pretzel legs may soften after a day or two.
