Juicy, buttery, and garlicky pork chops cooked in the air fryer in under 15 minutes. This easy weeknight dinner is perfect for busy nights and delivers restaurant-quality flavor with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 thick-cut boneless pork chops, about 1-inch thick (6–8 ounces each)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Let them sit for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together salt, pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, and dried thyme. Sprinkle the seasoning evenly over both sides of the pork chops. Drizzle with olive oil and rub in gently.
  3. In the same bowl, combine softened butter and minced garlic. Mash together with a fork until evenly distributed.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  5. Spread about half of the garlic butter mixture over the top of each pork chop. Reserve the remaining butter.
  6. Place the pork chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer, not touching. Cook at 400°F for 6 minutes.
  7. Flip the pork chops using tongs. Spread the remaining garlic butter on the cooked side. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  8. Remove from air fryer and let rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes.
  9. Serve with accumulated pan juices drizzled over the top.

Notes

Pat the pork chops dry for best browning. Use an instant-read thermometer to avoid overcooking. Let the chops rest for 5 minutes before serving to retain juices. If garlic starts to burn, reduce temperature to 375°F for the last few minutes. For thicker chops (1.5 inches), increase cook time to 10 minutes on first side and 8 minutes on second side.
